Saving New Zealand

Yesterday on Monday all the Ruapotaka students went on a trip to the Tamaki Estuary around Dunkirk.
We were there to pick up all the rubbish that were lying around. I had lots of fun walking around  looking for rubbish to pick up so it would not effect the birds and sea creatures that could get sick.

We had visitors that had come along the trip that had come from the zoo. Their names were Frazier, Hazel and Ashley. They had told me and the school that the dirty water travels out into the sea and would kill lots of sea creatures.

When we were finished picking up all the rubbish we had time to sit down and eat our lunch next  to the  playground. After we were done eating our lunch we had a free time to play on the park. When started raining we went on the bus to go back to school. I really enjoyed that discovery.
